The Wife in Pajamas

The Pajama Wife

Being a wife has been one of the biggest challenges of my life. Marriage has proved to me, not to be for the faint of heart, but it has also brought some of my most rewarding moments.

I believe falling in love is one of the greatest things we do as human beings. I mean think about it, think about your favorite song, or your favorite movie, chances are there is a love story in there somewhere. It is a totally captivating, incredible thing that happens to us, and I truly believe falling in love is one of the greatest things you can do.

That's exactly what I did, I fell for this wonderful man, HARD!

Meet my wonderful husband, he doesn't like to admit it, but we met on a dating website. I still can see his profile picture in my mind when I close my eyes. He was wearing a white hoodie, he had buzzed blonde hair, piercing blue eyes, and killer charming smile. I never even read his profile, I saw his picture and immediately emailed him. I was met with a response of "I don't get on here much, but text me if you want to talk." & his number. I had very strict rules that I followed when talking to guys on the internet, they first had to email me for a long period of time, then we would exchange numbers and text and talk on the phone, and then once I felt we knew each other we could meet in person as long as I had a friend or family member with me. For this man, I broke my rule. I don't know why, but I immediately texted him and the rest is history!

We fell in love very quickly, we dated for only a few short weeks before becoming exclusive. We dated for only a few short months before moving in together, and we were engaged within a year.

I was totally swept off my feet and taken by surprise with this man. He is passionate, and has such a sensitive and nice guy. He is adventurous and exciting. He is one of the hardest working people I know, and I couldn't help but fall in love with this wonderful man.

Life has been a complete roller coaster ride with my love. We have been through almost 5 years together now. We have been married for 3. We have lived in 1 apartment, 2 rented houses, temporarily stayed with my parents twice and bought a house together. We have been through 3 career changes. 3 anniversaries, 2 pregnancies, 2 Births, and are raising our 2 beautiful children together.

Life has rained down both tremendous hard times and miraculous blessings, but there is no one I would rather have by my side through this crazy journey called life.
