Our Past Fathers Days
What do you get your husband for fathers day? Men can be so impossible to buy for! You want to do something incredible and nice for them, because they do so much for you, but what do you do?
Well I'm here to tell you about our past couple fathers days and what we've done for my husband! Hopefully you can find it a little helpful and inspiring!
His First Fathers Day
For my husbands first fathers day we got a very special present! We had just gotten to bring our baby boy from the hospital after being in the NICU for 2 weeks! He was on a monitor and we were still getting use to life as parents, and life as parents to a premature baby at that! So we didn't have an extravagant Fathers Day that year!
(I cant believe I don't have a picture!!!)
I gave him a "Daddy's Dooty Kit" that was a diaper changing kit. It was filled with diapers and wipes, and rubber gloves and huge goggles and air freshener! My husband is a funny guy, and he absolutely hates poopy diapers, so this was a hit! I also got him concert tickets to see Blake Shelton in Concert a few months later. He loves Blake Shelton and is a huge cowboy! Pictured above is us at the concert!
His Second Fathers day we were just getting settled into a new rental home. I had surprised him with a new BBQ grilling set, a "diamond plate" picture frame and mug for work, and a movie he had his eye on! We also went out to to breakfast and to the drive in movies! It was a wonderful fathers day!
Last fathers day I was super pregnant! I had saw this T-shirt in the store that said "Bad Choices Make Good Stories" and it reminded me of something he would say, later that day he also picked out some garden hedge clippers for himself. We also took a super fun trip to Lagoon which was a lot of fun!

On Fathers day we also visited my husbands Father, which is his & my sons name sake. Later that day went out to dinner with my Father and got some yummy ice cream afterwards!
It can be so hard to find a present that is worthy of your awesome husband! What I've found, is its best to keep the gifts simple and shower them with love affection and doing things that create memories they will never forget!
Have fun celebrating your awesome husbands and fathers this Fathers Day! I know we will!
